China reveals first round rare earth quotas

MOFCOM sets export figures; 25 companies qualify to share the quota

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has announced the first round of rare earth export quotas for 2013.

A total of 15,501 tonnes rare earths can be exported as part of the first batch, MOFCOM said in a statement. That figure is about half the entire quota set for 2012.
