Company raises £23m in share offers to help exploration in northwest UK

UK-based natural gas exploration company, IGas has raised £23m ($37m*) to help further shale gas exploration in northwest England.

The company said it planned to spend £15m ($24m) of the funds drilling at two sites, in Irlam, Greater Manchester and Ellesmere Port in Cheshire.
