Slackening steel blamed; $40m payout for Chapter 11 proceedings

Refractories producer RHI today announced it will be closing its Duisburg magnesia carbon brick plant in Germany on the back of a weaker steel market in Europe.

The closure of the plant was approved during a supervisory board meeting today. It will be closed for 2013, RHI said.
