Uptick registered in June worldsteel production figures

China leads way in increase; US and Russia see marginal shifts.

World production of crude steel saw a solid uptick of 1.9% year-on-year (y-o-y) during June to 132m tonnes, but this is down from May’s figures, which were at 139m tonnes, according to the World Steel Association (worldsteel).
