Oilfield sales rebound after H2 2012 weakness; cosmetics market biggest earner

Hectorite producer Elementis’ operating profit dropped by 9% to $72.8m for H1 2013 despite a 23% year-on-year (y-o-y) growth in sales in the personal care section, which consumes a large quantity of its hectorite production for skin and hair care products, of its speciality products division.
