Albemarle hikes flame retardant price as bromine trends down

Chinese indexes show value declines after summer period of stability

US chemicals producer Albemarle Corp. has raised the price of its SAYTEX CP-2000 brominated flame retardantby 15%, the company announced late yesterday.

The increase applies to all shipments and is effective immediately, or as contracts allow.
