TCE says proposal will “secure sustainable future”; could result in 220 redundancies

Soda ash manufacturer Tata Chemicals Europe (TCE) has revealed restructuring proposals for its Cheshire, UK-based operations that could mean closing its soda ash and calcium chloride factory in Winnington.

TCE has announced the proposal in response to “high and rising” energy prices.
