Steel Production growing worldwide in 2013

Asia and Middle East driving markets; EU and US still struggling

World crude steel production increased by 2.7% in the first nine months of 2013 compared to the same period of 2012, with a total production of 1.2bn tonnes.

Global crude steel production is the largest end-market for refractory minerals such as alumina, andalusite, bauxite, graphite, magnesia and zircon.
