Solvay’s net sales down but volumes remain stable

Guar’s effect and raw materials low prices offset an increase in sales volume

Belgian chemicals producer Solvay Group has recorded net sales of around €2.5bn ($3.45bn*) in Q3 2013 and €7.5bn ($10.4bn) in the first nine months of 2013, down by 8% and by 5% year-on-year (y-o-y), respectively. However, sales remain stable.
