Baltic dry index rebounds from recent lows

Shipping rates climb as India plans additional dry bulk import capacity

The slide in shipping rates for dry bulk minerals reversed this week, with iron ore exports out of Australia to China growing.  


The Baltic Dry Index (BDI) rose to 1,602 on 6 November compared with 1,484 on 30 October.
