Imerys finalises kaolin merger

Competition Commission completes review process; five-year kaolin price controls now in place

French minerals conglomerate Imerys has announced the completion of the legally-binding final undertaking agreement for the acquisition of UK-based kaolin producer, Goonvean.

The news marks the end of the Competition Commission (CC) review process, meaning Imerys can now finalise the merger through its subsidiary Imerys Minerals Ltd.
