While graphene faces several obstacles before it finds its “killer application” the potential for this wonder material is undeniable as IM found out at this week’s Graphene Live! 2014 conference in Berlin, Germany.

Like many new discoveries, graphene has not been without its detractors since it was isolated in 2004 by researchers at the University of Manchester in the UK.

Yet, it’s hard to deny the potential that this so-called wonder material holds when you’re faced with its unique properties.
