Orocobre provides Olaroz lithium update

As Orocobre reaches 85% construction completion at its Olaroz project in Argentina, the battery industry could soon benefit from increased supply of battery-grade lithium carbonate, which could be important in light of anticipated demand for electric vehicle markets.

Australian lithium developer, Orocobre Ltd, has provided an update on the construction of its flagship Olaroz lithium project in Argentina.

After last month announcing that the commissioning of the liming plant and completion of the gas pipeline, the company today revealed that the construction programme is now around 85% complete.
