Molycorp to pay a fine for improper waste management; Lynas wins court battle in Malaysia; Stans Energy filed appeal against the ruling in Kyrgyzstan

The US Environmental Protection Agency has ordered Molycorp Inc. to pay a $27,300 fine for improper management of hazardous waste at its rare earths processing plant at Mountain Pass, in California.

The violations were discovered during an unannounced EPA’s inspection in October 2012.
