Malaysian Iris Corp to acquire diatomite deposits in New Zealand

The acquisition of diatomite-rich assets in New Zealand by the Malaysian technology company Iris Corp. places the country in a strategic position as a future supplier of natural fertilisers in the Asian and African market.

Malaysian technology company, Iris Corp., has entered into a shareholders’ agreement to form a joint venture (JV) for the acquisition of Featherston Resources’ diatomite mining licences in New Zealand.

The JV, called Plaman Resources, sees Iris own a 70% stake, with two partners, Group Family Trusts, Helaint Manolas and Asini...
