US Silica hikes glass and building sand prices by 20%

Increases follow negligible Q1 profit growth for company’s industrial and speciality segment

Silica sand producer US Silica Holdings Inc. has raised prices for its fine whole grain silica sand products, used primarily in the glass making and building industries, by around 20%.
