Lanxess sees earnings grow in its performance chemicals business

Despite seeing its overall sales revenue decline as a result of lowering prices, the German chemicals producer recorded positive growth in sales in its performance chemicals business, which it expects to grow further in 2014, especially for iron oxide and chromium oxide-based pigments.

German chemicals supplier, Lanxess AG saw its earnings increase by 33% in its performance chemicals business in Q1 2014, despite a 2.5% decrease in overall sales.
