Global Habitat Resources acquires California’s largest perlite mine

Internet-based commerce may be reducing the demand for new retail buildings, a major end market for perlite, but GHR is confident that despite falling production of the mineral in the US, demand will instead come from the “green” building sector, marking 2015 as the year when production could reach new highs.

US-based construction company, Global Habitat Resources (GHR), has entered into a joint venture (JV) with Caperlite Inc. to acquire the largest perlite mine in California, US.
