MagMin2014: Chinese imitation putting pressure on mineral tech providers

China is a key market for exporters of mineral processing technologies like Germany-based K-UTEC, however, the speed and ease with which Chinese companies are able to copy foreign products and systems once they have been installed, is eating away at foreign companies’ market share.

 European engineering companies in the mineral processing industry are finding it increasingly tough to sell their services to China and Southeast Asia, as low cost replication of patented products and services are squeezing out international providers.
