Urban mining key to resource sustainability, says Outotec

Mineral processing engineers are constantly looking to improve the efficiency of mineral recovery from primary resources, but Outotec believes the industry is overlooking possibilities to recover value from mineral-rich consumer waste.
Finland-based engineering group Outotec Oyj has called on
the mineral processing industry to recognise its sustainability
obligations and invest in ways of recovering minerals
efficiently from all available resources, including 'urban
mines'.
