Clariant expands pigments production in Indonesia

The expansion demonstrates the strong growth in demand in emerging economies for pigments, on the back of a stronger construction market and a growing middle class, which will mean more demand of the minerals that feed into the pigments market and other minerals used in construction.

Swiss chemicals producer Clariant has started to expand its pigments production capacity at its Tangerang site in Indonesia.

The company said that production expansion at its facility will better support the strong growth demand for pigments, masterbatches, industrial care and personal care in the country and in the South East...
