China sees rare earths exports rise in H1 2014

Recent figures on rare earths exports from China Customs indicate a steady growth in rare earths demand, with export volumes almost reaching the exports quotas set by Beijing for the first half of 2014.

China’s rare earths shipments have steadily grown since the start of 2014, with a 60.4% increase year-on-year (y-o-y), China Customs Statistics Information Center (CCSIC) reported.

The figures from CCSIC indicate a rising demand for rare earths in the first five months of 2014.
