Solvay announces Chinese fluoropolymer joint venture

By signing a joint venture (JV) with fluoropolymer producer Shanghai 3F, the Belgian chemicals producer is reinforcing its position in the China’s fluorochemicals market, after launching a new fluoroaluminate product at its Lansol Fluorochemicals JV.

Belgian chemical producer, Solvay SA, has signed a joint venture (JV) production agreement with Chinese fluorochemical manufacturer Shanghai 3F New Materials Co. Ltd.

The new JV will be named Solvay 3F, with Solvay and Shanghai 3F each holding 10% and 90% of the share, respectively.
