DuPont sees Q2 sales shrink due to low TiO2, mica, fluorochemicals prices

Low prices of fluorochemicals and TiO2 have impacted sales of the US-based speciality chemicals producer, which is currently restructuring its assets and changing its portfolio. However, DuPont expects higher demand for HFOs-refrigerants sales in H2 2014, following a growth in automotive.

US-based speciality chemicals producer, DuPont, has posted slightly lower sales for the second quarter of this year, due to persisting low prices of TiO2, fluorochemicals and metals.

Revenue in 2014 was $9.7bn compared to $9.8bn in the same period of 2013, with operating earnings per share (EPS) at $1.17/share, slightly...
