Weak Brazilian market weighs on Magnesita's industrial minerals arm

Magnesitas Refratarios results show that while demand has ebbed in the domestic market for industrial minerals, refractories sales in new markets look stronger.

Magnesita Refratários today posted H1 2014 results which highlighted a 28.7% drop in industrial minerals production volumes and a 12.3% drop in profit. Revenues for the business were up 6.9%.
