Vesuvius acquires two technical services businesses

The acquisition is the first since the demerger and highlights the company’s commitment to building its portfolio across the steel and foundries markets.

Refractories and foundry materials producer Vesuvius today announced that it has signed a binding agreement for the acquisition of two technical services businesses.

The acquisitions of Brazilian Ecil Met Tec and US-based Process Metrix, which will end up costing Vesuvius £30m ($50.2m), are expected to be completed during 2014....
