Hunan Nonferrous Metal produces fluorspar from polymetallic tailings in China

The company has developed an ore dressing method to separate and recover scheelite and fluorite through a two stage process. Using this process, which eliminates the shortcomings of a preferential flotation process, at a new processing plant starting in August, the China Minmetals subsidiary can produce high-grade and low-grade fluorspar. Chinese nonferrous metal producer, Hunan Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metal Corp. Ltd, has started fluorspar production at a new processing factory in the Hunan province, China.

The new plant can process over 3,000 tpd ore and raises Hunan Nonferrous Metal’s capacity to 7,000 tpd.
