IM visits Talga’s Vittangi project in Sweden; explores trends in US frac sand at Minneapolis

On this week's IMTV, TSX-V listed Flinders Resources officially opens its Woxna flake graphite mine in Sweden, paving the way for the Canadian miner to supply refractory markets in Europe.

Australian junior Talga Resources has been eyeing the graphene market for some time, but last week CEO Mark Thompson told IM that it could become a bulk supplier because it can quickly produce the high-value material.

Brominated flame retardants and soft drink additives have recently come into the spotlight as a result of health and safety concerns.

And finally, industry speakers spoke to IM at the 2nd frac sand conference in Minneapolis, US, saying that frac sand demand is set to keep on growing until 2019.
