Venezuela secures dolomite and limestone imports

State steel firm Sidor receives government aid to import shipments of dolomite and limestone, however this is unlikely to translate in a rise in demand for these minerals.

Venezuela state-steel firm Sidor has received 30,000 tonnes of industrial minerals from Canada as feedstocks to help restart production at the steel mill, according to Minister of Industries Jose David Cabello.

The raw materials comprise 13,000 tonnes of dolomite, 10,000 tonnes of limestone, and 7,000 tonnes...
