Iofina receives Montana water permit, reports spurt in September iodine output

The US-based iodine producer has taken three attempts to secure permission to divert water from the Missouri River to sell to oilfield services companies, but this approval will help the company tackle the issue of brine being diverted for fracking as it looks to optimise its plants.

UK-listed iodine producer Iofina Plc has been granted a preliminary permit for its Atlantis Water Depot in the US state of Montana on its third attempt at gaining approval, the company announced Monday.
