Uralkali potash production up 18.5% y-o-y in Q3 2014

While Uralkali has been refocussing on a prices-over-volume strategy, its potash production for the year thus far has increased by over a quarter. The company continues to reposition itself following the discontinuation of the Belarusian Potash Co. joint marketing venture.

Russian fertiliser producer Uralkali has increased its potassium chloride (muriate of potash) output by 18.5% for Q3 2014 year-on-year (y-o-y), from 2.7m tonnes to 3.2m tonnes.

Production for January to September is now 27.8% above 2013 production for the same period y-o-y, which rose from 7.2m tonnes...
