Rio Tinto hits back at “unsafe” allegation on eve of protest

As a leading miner, all eyes are always on Rio Tinto to see how it responds to allegations like those being presented by IndustriALL. The Anglo-Australian miner is still among the only company’s which allows known protestors to attend AGM meetings and has always been open about its safety record.

Rio Tinto today told IM that it was “disappointed” about unfounded allegations made by a trade union regarding its safety record across its operations.
