Baotou Rare Earth Exchange shows progress with 9,700 tonnes traded since April

With a turnover of almost $320m since its inauguration and more than 90 companies involved in trading, the Baotou Rare Earth Products Exchange shows is operating efficiently.

More than 9,700 tonnes rare earths have been traded at the Baotou Rare Earth Products Exchange (BREPE), the first rare earth exchange, as of September, with a total turnover of Chinese renminbi 1.7bn ($277m*).
