Imerys Al Zayani Fused Minerals receives financial support for Bahrain WFA business

The WFA plant in Bahrain came online in July this year and represents France-based Imerys’ first venture of this kind in the Middle East, in partnership with local investment groups. The project has enjoyed local encouragement as it fulfils a number of the Gulf State’s economic objectives.

Imerys Al Zayani Fused Minerals, a joint venture (JV) between French industrial minerals producer Imerys and Bahrain-based Al Zayani Investments, has signed an agreement with business development group Tamkeen to support the company’s white fused alumina (WFA) business in Bahrain, it emerged today.
