Omya agrees JV with Algol for Russian calcium carbonate and chemicals distribution

Omya is one of the world’s leading suppliers of calcium carbonate products, but the Swiss company still sees room to expand in the Russian market. By teaming up with Finland-based chemical company Algol, the two firms hope they can grow market share in northeast Europe.

Swiss fillers and pigments producer Omya Inc. has agreed a joint venture (JV) with Finnish chemicals and technology group Algol to distribute calcium carbonate and speciality chemicals in Russia.
