The supplier of heavy titanium minerals for the TiO2 pigment market continues to ramp up production and shipment volumes citing improving market conditions, while increasing its mineral concentrate recoveries.
Australia-listed Base Resources has seen a 22%
quarter-to-quarter rise in production tonnages of heavy mineral
concentrate at its Kwale mine, located in Kenya, the miner
reported this week.
Tonnages increased to 172,885 tonnes in Q3 2014, following
improvements to its spiral laundering process and higher mined
volumes and grades.
