American Rock Salt to expand logistics capacity following increased salt demand

After one of the coldest winters since records began, salt reserves are depleted across North America. American Rock Salt’s plans to increase its capacity should provide ample returns to the company, especially if the expansion is completed before the beginning of winter.

American Rock Salt Co. Inc. (ARS), the owner of the largest rock salt mine in the US, is to extend its private rail loading facility, expanding filling capacity from around 72 to over 90 rail cars.
