PPG’s China TiO2 plant to begin production in 2015

The completion of the JV plant with Henan Billions was celebrated this week, and the company expects output of 100,000 tpa TiO2 to begin next year. PPG, which recently said at the TiO2 World Summit that new product innovation will drive the industry forward, has also built a technology centre to test next-generation, chloride-based TiO2.

Paints and coatings producer PPG Industries held a ceremony this week to mark the completion of its JV titanium dioxide (TiO2) manufacturing and research plant with Henan Billions in Henan Province, China.
