Cristal eyes Chinese market with Jiangxi Tikon Titanium Co acquisition

Despite a perceived slowdown in the Chinese TiO2 space, this news shows that Cristal – one of the leading producers of the pigment mineral — believes in the future of China as a consumer of TiO2. The question is whether Cristal will bring its know-how to the Jianxi operation, and convert the processing route to create a higher-value TiO2, or retain the operation as it now runs.
