PotashCorp net income falls by 11%, potash gains offset by phosphate

PotashCorp’s earnings remained strong despite its income fall, which was mainly caused by production and commodity independent factors. The potash sector of the company has improved in line with expectations, following the steady realignment of potash markets from the uncertainty of 2013.

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (PotashCorp.) saw its net income fall by 11% year-on-year (y-o-y) to $317m in Q3 2013, down from $356m for Q3 2013.
