Rockwood post higher revenues and earnings on stronger battery demand

The lithium, potash and titanium dioxide (TiO2) producer posts strong results underlining the effect its recent acquisition has had in the business and strong demand from the lithium-ion battery market.

Rockwood Holdings today outlined the significant demand growth it has seen in surface treatment, lithium battery applications and in potash over Q3 2014.

Revenue from lithium however slipped year-on-year, to $117.2m, in Q3 2014, while EBITDA* in this business rose 25% to $53.9m.
