Tronox “expects feedstock conditions to gradually improve”

As one of the largest pigment producers in the world, Tronox’s Q3 results highlight the challenges facing the pigment and mineral sand industry. Indeed, the company highlighted that it will undergo a cost0-cutting initiate, but highlighted that it believed pigment prices, if not mineral sand prices, will improve into 2015.

 

US-based titanium dioxide (TiO2) producer, Tronox Ltd, confirmed today that it had run at or above 90% pigment capacity for Q3 2014, adding that it expected pigment prices to rise towards the end of this year and into 2015.
