Lanxess to cut 1,000 jobs as part of competitive drive

Following concerns that Lanxess could leave itself open to a takeover after poor profitability, the company is ploughing ahead to improve the competitiveness of its business to enable it to focus on growth again by 2016.

Speciality chemicals company Lanxess has said that it plans to cut around 1,000 jobs by 2016 in an attempt to improve the competitiveness of its business and its administrative structure.
