DuPont TiO2 Mexico expansion on track for 2016 production

The expansion – which was previously delayed owing to poor market conditions – under DuPont Titanium Technologies will increase the company’s TiO2 pigment capacity by 200,000 tpa by 2016, by which time demand is forecast to increase.

DuPont Titanium Technologies, part of DuPont’s Performance Chemicals segment, is on track to complete the planned expansion at the its titanium dioxide (TiO2) facility in Altamira, Mexico, in 2015.

Although production was originally scheduled for 2014, the company confirmed that this will now commence in 2016 as unfavourable market...
