Tanzania ports boost mineral sands prospects

Proximity of ports beneficial to Gunson Resource’s Kitambula and Madimba projects, and so the company is focusing developing ilmenite, rutile and zircon close to infrastructure to enable rapid production ramp up.

The proximity of two major Tanzania ports to regional mineral sands projects could mean production and exports will be ramped up quickly, according to Australian junior miner, Gunson Resources.

The company controls an area of around 2,000km2 along the coast of Tanzania, comprising five projects.
