Afghanistan targetting 100,000 tonnes fluorspar output in 2015

Supply update: Efforts to exploit Afghanistan’s mineral reserves to increase metspar capacities; acidspar production set for 2015

Afghanistan is primed to become a new supplier of both acidspar and metspar in 2015, with Amania Mining Company targeting production in excess of 100,000 tonnes.

Output has already begun at the Bakhud reserve in Uruzgan province, with 10,000 tonnes metspar being extracted over H2 2014.
