Sirius Minerals’ York Potash project receives support from local MPs

While they have no voting power over the project, the high profile support of a number of local MPs from both main UK parties for the York Potash project will likely please Sirius Minerals. The MPs supported mitigation measures to correct environmental concerns which have been raised as a result of the project falling within the jurisdiction of the North York Moors National Park Authority.

UK-based Sirius Minerals Plc received the backing of five local MPs on Saturday in a joint letter, detailing their approval of the company’s York Potash project Yorkshire, UK, to local newspaper the Yorkshire Post.
