Jordanian phosphate plant begins commercial production

Already a major phosphate supplier to India, Jordan will be able to increase its exports to the country, as JPMC continues its strategy of expanding its operations abroad. The plant is projected to contribute $325m in revenues to JIFCO.

The Jordan Phosphate Mines Co. (JPMC) has announced the launch of commercial production at an Eshidiya, Jordan-based phosphate facility operated by Jordan India Fertilizer Company LLC (JIFCO), a joint venture (JV) between JPMC and Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (IFFCO).
