Kenmare rebuffs criticisms that it failed to minimise Mozambique mine impact

A report by CPI accuses the mineral sands miner of not meeting obligations regarding infrastructure, schools and housing to minimise the effects of the company’s Moma mine in Mozambique. Speaking to IM, Kenmare hit back saying that it has, and will continue to, make a positive impact on local people.

Irish mineral sands miner Kenmare Resources Plc has rejected criticisms by the Center for Public Integrity (CPI), which said the company hadn’t met pledges to people near to its Moma mine in Mozambique.
