Graymont acquires stakes in New Zealand-based limestone and lime producers

Through its purchasing of limestone and lime businesses which operate on both of New Zealand’s islands, Graymont has acquired both the country’s largest supplier, and a nationwide network of quarries, plants and distribution facilities.

Canada-based Graymont Inc. is to enter the New Zealand limestone and lime industry by taking ownership of McDonald’s Lime Ltd, which is currently joint-held by majority stakeholder Holcim New Zealand Ltd and New Zealand Steel Ltd.
